We built this infrared heating element to be a straight-up, drop-in replacement for the industrial heaters you already know. It was born for the places that chew up standard lamps—the spots that get wet, or where the temperature swings hard. Honestly, our whole point is just this: keep the heat on, even when the day is rough.
What makes it tick
This unit runs on 400V, so it packs a lot of power into a small footprint. The shape is designed to match the housings you’re already using, which means you can swap out a burned-out heater without tearing into the machine’s design. And that IP65 rating? It’s not just a sticker. It means the whole lamp is dust-tight and can take direct sprays of water. In real life, that translates to being able to wash down equipment or work in humid areas without worrying about shorts or corrosion eating the connections.
The guts of it
Inside, you’ve got a quartz tube, filled with a halogen gas mix. That chemistry helps keep the filament steady when it’s screaming hot, and it cuts down on blackening over time—so the output stays strong. The tube is coated to spread the heat evenly and to handle those sudden thermal shocks without cracking. For hooking it up, we went with an R7s connector. It’s that standard two-pin, double-ended setup used across a lot of heaters, so you get a secure fit—mechanically and electrically—and you’re wired in quickly.
What it feels like in the real world
This design tackles two headaches that keep showing up: fogging and water getting inside. Fogging happens when a cold quartz surface meets humid air. Moisture condenses, the output gets dull, and the heating turns uneven. The IP65 seal stops water from getting in, and the halogen design keeps the tube hot enough that condensation just doesn’t stick around. Now, there is one trade-off: heat density. A 400V, high-wattage lamp runs hot, so your machine’s cooling and airflow need to be set up for it. Keep it within those limits, and you get steady infrared output, predictable cycle times, and fewer surprise shutdowns.
