Making Bathroom Heaters That Actually Feel Good (and Won’t Blind You)
Nobody likes stepping out of a hot shower into a freezing bathroom. It’s the worst. We wanted to fix that with infrared heaters, but we ran into a problem: most of these things feel like staring into the sun. Especially if you have a baby in the tub, that blinding glare is just not okay. The “Anti-Glare” Secret Most standard lamps blast you with visible light and UV rays. It’s harsh. To stop that, we used a special coating on the quartz glass. Think of it like a pair of high-end sunglasses for your heater. It lets the warmth pass through but blocks the aggressive blue light that can hurt a child’s eyes. Instead of a blinding flash, you get a soft, gentle glow. You still get that “instant warmth” feeling, but without the squinting. How the Heat Actually Works Here is the thing about infrared: it doesn’t waste time warming up the air in the room. It goes straight for you. We use a quartz filament that hits the right temperature in a matter of seconds. It’s fast. Really fast. And because bathrooms are basically steam rooms, we built the housing out of alloys that won’t rust or pit. It stays looking clean even when the mirror is totally fogged up. A Few Tips for Setting It Up Since these lamps pack a punch, where you put them matters. If you mount the heater too low, it’s too intense—you might actually burn your skin. We suggest keeping it at least 2.2 meters up. This gives the heat room to spread out, so it hits your shoulders and head evenly rather than feeling like a heat lamp at a buffet. Also, a quick heads-up for the installation: make sure your wiring can handle the peak current. You don’t want your junction box getting hot while you’re trying to relax in the bath.
